Helsinki Whiskey Pioneer Corn is a gentle and sweet corn whiskey made with premium Finnish corn. It is the first of its kind in Finland, really a true Pioneer. Small batch distillation and maturation in selected casks guarantee a balanced and smooth taste.
As a guarantee of quality every numbered bottle comes with the signature of Master Distiller Mikko Mykkänen.

Helsinki Whiskey Pioneer Corn release #23 is the first corn whiskey ever made with Finnish corn. (We had Release #5 earlier, but with imported corn). 51% corn, 40% malted rye, rest malted barley. Matured in ex-bourbon and American virgin oak for 6 years. Single cask release for the Finnish Whiskey Day (Suomalaisen viskin päivä) 2023. Limited release of 450 bottles in 15.5.2023.
Nose
Vanilla and caramel from the virgin oak cask, sweet and smooth aroma of corn matched with malted rye barley. Butter toast and milk chocolate.
Flavor
Smooth mouthfeel. Taste is high on vanilla and butter cookies, fresh corn and red apple, caramel, fresh licorice, and milk chocolate. Malted barley balances the sweetness.
Aftertaste
Long, it lingers on the insides of the cheeks. Fudge and a hint of rye spiciness.

Helsinki Whiskey Single Malt #24 VYS is a special bottling for the Viskin Ystävien Seura, the biggest whiskey club in Finland. The whiskey has been distilled in a rare Pot Still configuration of our stills, meaning distillation two times and bypassing the column. The whiskey has been matured in ex-Applejack casks chosen by Master Blender Kai Kilpinen for seven years. It is a limited release of 710 bottles at 53,2% ABV and is non-filtered. This is the first Single Malt released by HDCO since 2020 (#16). The release date in Alko is 20.11.2023.
Nose
Floral notes with apples and pears, caramel from the oak cask.
Flavor
Rich mouthfeel. Aroma has notes of peach, fresh herbal taste, licorice root, buttered toast. Herbal and floral elements are balanced by malts and fruity notes from the cask.
Aftertaste
Long, it lingers on the insides of the cheeks. Applepie and cocoa.

Pot Still Distilled
Helsinki Whiskey Single Malt Release #16 has been matured in one American virgin oak cask for three and a half years. After that it has been placed in an ex-Pedro Ximenez cask for a finish for seven months. Master Blender Kai Kilpinen has chosen the casks. Release #16 is bottled at 47,5% ABV and is non-filtered. Release #16 consist of only 80 individually numbered bottles. Release date was 7.2.2020.

Vanilla and caramel from the oak cask, herbal notes with aniseed.
Flavor

Some of the whiskey has matured in American Virgin Oak and some in small French New Oak casks. The whiskey has been matured for a minimum of four years and bottled at cask strength of 56,6% ABV and non-filtered. Release #11 consist of 240 individually numbered bottles. Release date was 6.2.2019.
